Ladies, it’s that time again—

Time to begin thinking about which Bible study you will be plugged into for the spring. All studies, morning and evening, will begin Tuesday, January 22, 2008. Preschool childcare ONLY will be offered and MUST be requested at the time of  registration. Registration will be December 30, January 6, and January 13 after the morning worship services.

 Discerning the Voice of God and The Fingerprints of God—

Facilitator: Mary Jayne Smith

This morning group will contain 2 studies, taught back to back. You may take one study or both, but ALL money will be due at the time of registration. “Discerning the Voice of God” by Priscilla Shirer is designed to help one know the voice of God: His language, character, and tone of voice. In this six week study, you will grow closer to God through His Word and learn to hear His Voice. “The Fingerprints of God” by Jennifer Rothchild exposes you to the wonder of God’s touch upon our lives. You will discover that when you experience God’s touch you will recognize six things: honor, intimacy, shelter, guidance, redemption, and refinement. And just like clay in the skilled hands of the potter, God’s touch molds us and shapes us from glory to glory!

Believing God—

Facilitator: Sharon Byrum

This powerful study will lead you to a more active, living faith—one that begins with…believing God. Explore what it means to know and truly believe God—as described in Isaiah 43:10. This study examines the lives of Abraham, Moses, and others who believed God. Come and examine what it means to not only believe in God but to believe Him!

Lord Teach Me to Pray and Stepping Up: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent

Facilitator: Melissa Carrasco (Morning Group)

Facilitator: Tammie Chambers (Evening Group)

These two groups (one morning and one evening) will contain 2 studies, taught back to back. You may take one study or both but ALL money will be due at the time you register. The first study will be, “Lord Teach Me to Pray” by Kay Arthur. Focusing on the Lord’s Prayer, one will learn how to pray according to God’s will and purpose. This study is five (5) weeks in length. “Stepping Up—A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent” by Beth Moore is a detailed study of Psalms 120-134. You will be given a unique opportunity for personal reflection and worship while exploring the background/writer of each Psalm. Just as a song or poem can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope, and joy, these 15 Psalms model how one can voice their own petitions and praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us. This study is seven (7) weeks in length.

Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit—

Facilitator: Lisa Logan

This encouraging study explores the freedom of a life filled with peace, joy, gentleness, and other positive characteristics (Gal. 5:22-23). You will be encouraged to develop and maintain an intimate relationship with the Spirit of God; nurturing and cultivating the fruit of the Spirit in your daily life.
